Billy Denis

Billy “Bingo” Denis is a retired FDNY fireman and U.S. Marine veteran. He served with the FDNY for 20 years, retiring just five days before 9/11. But when the attack occurred, Billy knew he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he didn’t go to the World Trade Center to help. He ended up spending five of the first six days at Ground Zero helping with rescue and recovery operations.
