Gayle Onnen

Gayle Onnen is a retired forensic technician and death investigator who responded to 9/11 from Des Moines, Iowa. As a member of Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT), Gayle assisted the NYC Medical Examiner’s Office with the recovery, identification, and release of human remains.

She was a member of DMORT for 20 years, before being forced to retire due to 9/11-related illnesses.
