Ivonne Sanchez is a cancer survivor who responded to 9/11 as an FDNY EMT. At Ground Zero, she pulled bodies from the rubble and identified victims.


In the years following the attacks, Ivonne was instrumental in securing the implementation of the World Trade Center Fund.
