PJ DeRosa

PJ DeRosa is a member of FDNY EMS. He will retire in October 2024 after 25 years of service. He responded to the attacks at the World Trade Center at 9:01 a.m., a mere 15 minutes after the North Tower had been hit. In the weeks and months that followed, PJ spent hundreds of hours working at Ground Zero.

Since 9/11, he has lost approximately 30% of his lung span and tested high for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
