Richard Roeill

Richard Roeill is a former volunteer firefighter who performed search and rescue at Ground Zero in the immediate aftermath of the attacks. He returned multiple times through November 2001, to assist with recovery efforts.

What Richard witnessed over those several months has taken a lifelong toll on his mental and physical health—yet he continues to advocate tirelessly for responders’ and survivors’ healthcare.
